]]>Mini Mason Jars are nothing new, but I am in love with the shot glass variations from Urban Trend. Making tiny cocktails is fascinating to me plus it allows you to try more things. The problem is it is time consuming for the drink builder. Either way, this little shot sized drink, will have you singing LMFAO songs in no time. I reached out to the company and they sent me a set of glasses and a surprise.
I put together a variation of as Pimm’s Cup called the Country Pimms.
Country Pimms
- 1/2 oz Pimm’s #1
- 1/2 oz Liberator Gin
- Dash of Simple Syrup
- Dash of Scrappy’s Lime Bitters
- Top with Spicy Blenheim Ginger Ale
- Muddled Mint
- Garnish with Cuke Peel
- Muddle 3 mint leaves in the mason jar. Shake Gin, Pimm’s, Bitters & Simple in a iced shaker and strain into glass. Top with Ginger Ale and Garnish.
For $18.99 you get a set of 4 glasses. (Amazon Link) I’ll admit, it is a bit steep. However, they are sturdy little guys and I bet they would take some abuse. They are also cute and how do you put a price on cuteness.
The glasses aren’t branded Mason or Bell but instead Shots.
Urban Trend sent me a Spin the Shot set too. I’m going to give it away on the blog. Post a comment and I’ll pick on at random next week.
Good luck on the contest.

]]>If you are a fan of straight vodka, nothing is tastier than when it is ice cold from the freezer. How do you keep that temp? You could keep stashing it in there but that means getting up from your game of Mega Man to do so. What if you could encase your bottle in a protective and chillative layer of ice.
Enter the Ice Jacket. This neat gizmo coats the bottle in ice after 7-8 hours in the fridge. What you don’t see in the picture above is a 2nd piece that puts a dome over the bottle to hold the water while it freezes. I imagine you unscrew the dome when you are done and have a that ice ready to go. There are even some shots of people freezing flowers in the ice for decor.
Could be cool…ha! Checkout their site for more info. It looks like they are out of stock in Amazon and Brookstone.

]]>Check out these great glasses from the uncommon green. They have maps etched into the sides of the glasses giving it a cool “crackle” type finish. No Detroit at this time as only 3 editions exist. But more are promised.

]]>Any good hacker knows that when you name an item the goal is to replace as many numbers and symbols in the title to make it properly geekified (a.k.a. 1337 speak). However, that would make this the barioder. The bar10der (bar • 10 • der) is a pretty clever gadget for bartending with limited gear. It looks a little big to me but if that is all you have you can still make a mean cocktail in the woods…if you can find ice…or like pink gin (which has no ice in it). The design is cool but $50 is a lot for tools that might run you $20 all together. You are definitely paying for the cool factor on your next camping trip.
