One of my scores last weekend was an experimental bottle of Buffalo Trace. Each year they release a few of these and this one was from 2011. In a tradition that goes back to 2006, they bottle up some of the experiments they are running with different grains, barrels, techniques, etc.

You might notice that the Oakland has a few bottles stashed behind the bar.

I haven’t opened it yet but will follow-up when I do. I picked this one up at the Champaign, IL Binny’s. They have more along with a Rice version too.
