The Corktown restaurant’s resident “beach boss”, Jeffrey Bruer is hosting ‘Tiki Happy Hour’ on Thursday July 26th starting at 4pm. The bartender is embracing his west coast roots by partnering with New Orleans tiki experts, Steve Yamada (Latitude 29) + Ruth Ann (Portside Lounge) for an evening of cocktails and tall tales. The pop-up will include a number of tiki-inspired drinks and snacks like skewers and small plates.

Featured cocktails include: ‘Te Whakeke Kookonati’ meaning ‘The Rebellious Coconut’ with whiskey, coconut, pineapple, citrus, lime and bitters.

Nick is a cocktail enthusiast from Royal Oak, Michigan. His passion started in college by converting his loft into a tiki bar and equipping it with a selection of tools, glassware and liquors that rivaled most local bars.
