  1. Made an Old Fashioned using the recipe from Mansome libations on Yahoo.com. 2 oz Bulleit Rye, cocktail spoon of demerara sugar simple syrup, 2 dashes each of Angostura aromatic bitters and Fee Brothers orange bitters. Stirred, (not shaken), with ice and strained into a chilled glass over large ice cubes. garnished with an orange peel and lemon peel. Great tasting cocktail. Felt like Don Draper.

  2. The Oakland in Ferndale, MI made a drink with bourbon and basil called the Bufala Negra. Probably my favorite bourbon drink to date!

  3. Best bourbon drink (besides just pouring it all over my face) had to be the Harlem Renaissance at the Oakland. That was a damn fine cocktail.

  4. I love a good Old Fashioned. My good friend makes a point to order his Manhattans with Bulleit Rye, too.

  5. It really depends on my mood. Bourbon or Rye. Two or Three cubes.

    I have very exciting taste.

  6. I’ll take me a Remember the Maine. High proof rye, please

  7. In either case, neat is the ticket. On occasion a bit of ice might be nice, but neat is best.

  8. Seriously, I prefer neat, but I am mixing I enjoy a bourbon punch. Put some fresh lemon juice, a nice loose-leaf tea and some nutmeg in a bowl with some Bulleit: ooh wee!

  9. I really think you can’t go wrong with a well made Manhattan.

  10. During my time down south, I was introduced to a little drink called the Bourbon Meyer (3 parts sweet tea, 1 part bourbon). Granted this was in Gainesville prior to Meyer’s departure for the Midwest; but on a hot, muggy, swampy, Florida Saturday afternoon tailgate, nothing tastes better!
