Happy Star Wars Week! I thought it would be nifty to make light saber themed cocktails. Based on the Star Wars song, Duel of the Fates, I mixed up two variations on the Moscow Mule called Mule with my Mates.
Mule with my Mates #1 (Mexican Mule):
- – 1.5 oz good Tequila (100% agave and Reposado if you can swing it. I used Corralejo)
- – 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- – 0.25 oz Simple Syrup (adjust if you have a drier Ginger Beer)
- – Top with Ginger Beer
Shake Tequila, simple and lime with ice in a shaker. Strain into an iced Collins. Top with Ginger Beer and under light with an LED Coaster.
Mule with my Mates #2 (Jamaican Mule):
- – 1.75 oz aged Rum (I used Zaya)
- – 0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- – Top with Ginger Beer
Shake rum and lime with ice in a shaker. Strain into an iced Collins. Top with Ginger Beer and under light with an LED Coaster.
