We are visiting Central PA for client visits and got our hopes up when we found The Bookstore was near us. We got geeked and put it in our GPS only to find “near” equaled 2 hours.  Not wanting to make that trek, we found the Peter Herdic House. It reminded us of the Whitney back in the Detroit, Mich. area.

I was reading my copy of Boozehound on the way to our dinner and was in the rum section.  The Herdic House bar had Mount Gay Rum Extra Old so I gave that a try.

It had a really boozy nose but tasted really smooth.  It was definitely more sip-able than a Barcardi.  I would recommend it but would like to try some more of the premium rums to see what the difference is.
